OrthoSupport Orthopaedic Mattress

The OrthoSupport is a firm, double-sided coil sprung mattress for people who prefer to lie on a mattress rather than sink into it. It suits teenagers' and adults' beds and guest rooms, in five sizes from single to super king.

Its support comes from 12.5-gauge coil springs. The lower the gauge, the thicker the spring wire, so these give a firm, stable base. On top sit 1100 g of polyester fillings under a tufted damask cover, with air vents around the border and handles to make turning easier.

Good to know

Orthopaedic has no legal definition in the UK; here it means a firm, supportive build, 9 on our 1 to 10 scale. At 23 cm deep it's for beds at standard height and divans, not bunk beds or high sleepers. Turn it over and rotate it regularly so it wears evenly. It arrives flat and wrapped, ready to use.

Most of our mattresses can be delivered the next working day (Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays). The delivery line above shows the time for this mattress.

Some mattresses arrive rolled and boxed, which makes them easy to carry up stairs. Others arrive flat and fully wrapped, ready to sleep on straight away. The specification tells you which.

Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses, and we'll email tracking details as soon as your order is on its way. Our delivery policy covers the rest of the UK.

You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind, and another 14 days to return it. If your mattress arrives damaged or faulty, contact us and we'll put it right.

If it arrives rolled: unbox it soon after delivery, in the room it's going in. Lay it on the bed, carefully cut away the wrapping and let it unroll. You can sleep on it after a few hours, and it reaches full shape within 24 to 72 hours.

If it arrives flat: take off the wrapping and let it air for a few hours before you make the bed.

Rotate it head to toe every few weeks for the first three months, then every three months after that. Only flip it if it's two-sided. A mattress protector keeps it fresh for longer.
